Cookie policy
The four things this site stores in your browser, all of them first-party, none of them for tracking.

1There is no cookie banner, and this is why
This site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads no third-party scripts that could set any. Everything it stores in your browser is either required to deliver a service you asked for or a preference you set yourself.
Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE does not require consent for cookies strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user, which is why you are reading a policy instead of dismissing a dialog. If that ever changes, you will get a real consent request, not a pre-ticked box.
2What is stored
- gf_session
- Cookie. Keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in. Expires after 7 days. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Strictly necessary.
- gf_pending
- Cookie. Holds a half-finished sign-in between your password and your two-factor code. Lives 5 minutes and only if two-factor authentication is enabled. Strictly necessary.
- NEXT_LOCALE
- Cookie. Remembers whether you chose English or Spanish. Written only when you use the language switcher. Expires after one year. A preference, not tracking.
- theme
- Local storage, not a cookie. Holds "light", "dark" or "system" so the page does not flash the wrong colours on load. Never sent to the server.
All four are first-party. None contains an advertising identifier, and none is readable by another site.
3Cloudflare
geofeed.network is served through Cloudflare, which may set its own strictly necessary cookies to distinguish a browser from an attack. These are security cookies and are not used to profile you. Cloudflare documents them at developers.cloudflare.com.
4Refusing them
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data; look for "Cookies and site data" or the equivalent in its privacy settings.
What breaks if you do: without gf_session you cannot stay signed in, so the panel is unusable. Without NEXT_LOCALE the site picks a language from your browser each time instead of remembering your choice. Without local storage the page cannot remember your light or dark preference. The public landing page and the validator work with everything blocked.
